Dare to Dream Challenge

I was twittering and having fun doing some random questions with friends. I asked "Name your 3 dream jobs". EVERYBODY responded with at least one realistic goal. But there was NO reason that could not be overcome that would keep them/us from attaining it. So that led to my next question: Are you bold enough and do you want it enough that you can dedicate yourself to doing ONE thing a week to achieving that goal? If so, sign up and share your dream and one thing you can do this week. Why not encourage and support each other while living our dreams?

Get Me Bodied Challenge

I started a challenge to help us lose a few pounds and sculpt those sexy bodies we want. Dancing is a great workout and it's fun. My challenge, I would make us a playlist every week and 5 days a week you must do the whole playlist. There's always going to be a Beyonce song or two (since her stuff always tends to get you to dance in a way that works you) and some warm-up and cool down songs. There will be a mix of genres sometimes so open up your mind lol. Sometimes you will want to pop it, drop it like it's hot, move like a stripper and if you are not sure what to do, ask yourself WWBD? What would Bee do? lol Oh yeah, if you have ever taken a strip areobics class in heels, you know it intensifies the workout immensely and is great for the legs. I am thinking 1 month for this first round. Anybody in?

New show alert!

So the dude and I are channel surfing the other day and we stumbled upon a new show called Cupid. We were sucked in within the first few minutes. Let me give you a little background info:

Trevor Pierce is a larger than life character who insists that he is Cupid, the Roman god of love. He claims that he has been sent to New York City by Zeus to bring 100 romantically challenged couples together before being allowed to return to Mt. Olympus. His persistence eventually lands him in a mental institution.

Three months later, Trevor is found to be harmless to himself and others and is released -- but under certain conditions. Placed under the care of psychiatrist and self-help author Dr. Claire McCrae, he must attend her singles group therapy sessions on a regular basis so that she can monitor his progress.

Trevor returns to his rented room upstairs from the struggling Tres Equis Cantina, owned by Felix Araiza and his sister, Lita. In exchange for rent, Trevor becomes a bartender and creates an atmosphere for singles looking for lasting love. His ideas, such as half-price margarita nights and mariachi karaoke duets, could help him bring couples together and ultimately take him closer to the day that he gets to return to Mt. Olympus.

No one believes Trevor's story, but everyone finds him to be quite charming. Although he possesses a great knowledge of Greek mythology, Claire finds that Trevor constantly interferes and contradicts her when it comes to her pragmatic style of helping lonely hearts find their soul mates. In true love, Claire believes it's all about friendship and mutual respect; for Trevor, heat and passion conquer all. Only time will tell who will win this battle for love.

Cupid stars Bobby Cannavale (Will & Grace) as Trevor, Sarah Paulson (The Spirit, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip) as Claire, Rick Gomez (What About Brian) as Felix and Camille Guaty (Las Vegas) as Lita.

The romantic dramedy was created by Rob Thomas (Veronica Mars), who serves as executive producer/writer, along with executive producers Jennifer Gwartz (Good Behavior, Veronica Mars), Danielle Stokdyk, (Good Behavior, Veronica Mars), Dan Etheridge (Good Behavior, Veronica Mars) and Diane Ruggiero (Dirty Sexy Money, Veronica Mars). Cupid is produced by ABC Studios.

Watch the pilot/premiere episode here: http://abc.go.com/primetime/cupid/index?pn=about

In such a jaded society, this show is really light-hearted and funny. Even the love cynic is on the show as a lead and we have our traditional romantic. Both of these appeal to everyone and it gives you hope, lifts your spirit and makes you smile. At the very least, you will get a good chuckle.

Check it out and let me know what you think. What are your favorite shows? If I like it, I may blog as I watch. I will likely do a few reality shows and The Game and maybe CSI.

FINALLY doing something with this and getting consistent

Hey! There has been ssoooooo much going on. If you didn't know, I am getting married and have been planning the wedding. I am also in law school. Most recently, I am one of the admin of a message board (www.divasdollsmisfitsforum.com Come join!). The board and the blogs are a great way to pass time at work or school or just something cool to read on the net. Needless to say, I have been VERY busy, but I want to get back to my blog.

So now what? I'm taking this blog to the next level. My dude and I will be doing advice questions together and are thinking of doing a relationship podcast/call-in show. Women love his advice and he LOVES to give it lol. Also people swear that he and I are hilarious to watch or listen to so I will let you be the judge.

I want to profile members, subjects, celebrities, stories, businesses and things that are of interest to you. Do you have a suggestion of something to profile or want to be profiled? E-mail me at hellojejelive@gmail.com I will also do interviews, reviews and other assorted things.

The Dating Game! I am going to try to play matchmaker for one of my friends using an online website. We will keep you updated here and on DDM and you can also weigh in. We can match you up too! :)

Please visit my favorite sites and subscribe to my blog! Please share the link to my blog with your friends....e-mail, facebook, twitter, e-mail...just some ideas! lol Let's support each other. There's enough negativity in the world, time to uplift instead of tear down.

If there is anybody out there who wants to get their name out there and help me and possibly a few other bloggers fix up their blog, let me know. Thanks!

You have some nerve

This should be a quick one. If you take this personally, you must see yourself in it. CHECK YOUR ATTITUDE AND YOUR OPINIONS!

Words are POWERFUL. Think about what you say and how you are putting your words together. I am admittedly politically incorrect and comfortable with that. But I know that I have to be prepared with what may come with that. If you are rude and nasty or just fly off at the mouth without thinking, be prepared to catch the hell that comes with it. Don't try to stomp with the big dogs if you still eatin' puppy chow. Also, stop trying to bait people, just come out with it. Everybody knows what you are doing, just come out with it already!

For those folks giving advice about hair, looks, beauty, etc.....Sit yo silly ass down if you are not together or getting it together. Nobody wants your unsolicited opinion unless it's to know what NOT to do. You trying to tell me what to do with my hair when it looks like your ish is so dry you are about to start a brush fire. When you go to the beach, you come equipped with your own inner tube but you want to tell somebody else how to eat or what is healthy or how to exercise.

Just some food for thought...carry on.
