A lot going on......updates, updates, updates

First, I am saddened by the loss of Michael Jackson. May he find the peace in death that alluded him in life. I weep for my future children to be left with only the "oldies" and nothing they can look to. Music industry, you MUST do better!

The wedding is coming up fast and I am getting nervous, excited and everything all at once :)

Still working out and getting fit. I am focusing on toning now. I will be keeping you updated on that too. The biggest help came from eating cleaner. Most of weight loss can be attributed to healthy eating.

Law school is coming along. Taking two courses in summer school in an effort to lighten my load during the year. I will be done a few weeks before the wedding.

I am working on a new website. I am so unimpressed by the traveshamockery that is this blog and want to do something a little nicer. Stay tuned.....

Beginning of my 30 day EA Sports Active Challenge

I am a wii lover and I am trying to get back to the size/weight where I felt most comfortable. I went through a lot at once that contributed to me gaining a lot of weight. Being a former athlete, I am so not accustomed to this and wanted my body back. I felt like a stranger in my own body.

I always talked about losing weight but was never really motivated. Now, I have the ultimate motivation: WEDDING! I started eating clean/healthy and it's great. Lost a great amount of weight just changing my eating habits. And the bad stuff does not even taste the same. But I want MORE! lol So it's time to exercise. For me, I have to enjoy the workout or I get bored. I found a few things that I like and have begun rotating with them.

Yesterday, I added a new, great workout. It's the EA Sports Active for the wii. I love the wii and wii fit is cool, but this game takes it to a whole new level. I did my first workout yesterday and was drenched with sweat and that was just medium intensity. I loved the boxing and really used it to release some stress. The running and walking is something I will have to get used to because I still don't think my mii was moving as fast as I was. The strength training exercises with the resistance band are great except it seemed to have a hard time registering all of my movements. For example, when doing the squats, I would be standing straight up and it kept telling me I was squating too low and to stand up. I'm 5'9 lol. But I will figure that out and keep going. It also has a journal so you can track how your day went and you will notice things like if you need more sleep, you are not eating right etc.

I will be blogging the entire 30 days of the challenge and will share my progress. In the end, I may just share pics too! :)
