Beginning of my 30 day EA Sports Active Challenge

I am a wii lover and I am trying to get back to the size/weight where I felt most comfortable. I went through a lot at once that contributed to me gaining a lot of weight. Being a former athlete, I am so not accustomed to this and wanted my body back. I felt like a stranger in my own body.

I always talked about losing weight but was never really motivated. Now, I have the ultimate motivation: WEDDING! I started eating clean/healthy and it's great. Lost a great amount of weight just changing my eating habits. And the bad stuff does not even taste the same. But I want MORE! lol So it's time to exercise. For me, I have to enjoy the workout or I get bored. I found a few things that I like and have begun rotating with them.

Yesterday, I added a new, great workout. It's the EA Sports Active for the wii. I love the wii and wii fit is cool, but this game takes it to a whole new level. I did my first workout yesterday and was drenched with sweat and that was just medium intensity. I loved the boxing and really used it to release some stress. The running and walking is something I will have to get used to because I still don't think my mii was moving as fast as I was. The strength training exercises with the resistance band are great except it seemed to have a hard time registering all of my movements. For example, when doing the squats, I would be standing straight up and it kept telling me I was squating too low and to stand up. I'm 5'9 lol. But I will figure that out and keep going. It also has a journal so you can track how your day went and you will notice things like if you need more sleep, you are not eating right etc.

I will be blogging the entire 30 days of the challenge and will share my progress. In the end, I may just share pics too! :)

  1. Omg, i can so relate to you! Since the baby and this extra 15 lbs of baby weight that i cant seem to shed, i totally dont feel like myself. I dont even know who this thick chick is when i look in the mirror. ;-) Also like you, it takes a LOT to get me motivated to work out (sadly). Last time i was realllyyy serious about working out/eating right was when i competed in a beauty pageant several years back. However, DH and i have been talking recently about a vow renewal ceremony.... and i know THAT will be the impetus to lose this weight. Gotta look right in that gown!!! :-) So i wish u well in ure weight loss journey, and i definitely plan to follow along. Good luck on the 30 day challenge, girl!!!
